Global or national rating, what is to be chosen by high schools?

Results of independent audit of efficiency of Russian ratings of universities are given. It is shown that global ratings don’t give a full-fledged comparative assessment of all Russian universities. Revealed are possible reasons of such functioning of global ratings. Stated is, that for raising effectiveness of activity of national high schools the need consists in formulation and application of Russian (national) ratings, passed through foreign evaluation and recognition. Analyzed is activity of realizing of national ratings in Russia, providing by governmental, public and private organizations. Also shown are threshold meaning of indicators for evaluation of effectiveness of Russian high schools. Presented is comparison of indicators of Russian mining and geological universities. Finally, demonstrated is impact of national rating of definite aspects of activity of Russian high schools.
