In the context of fierce international competition, the domestic aircraft industry is facing serious challenges, including the provision of engineering personnel capable of successfully solving current professional tasks due to the high pace of technological evolution. In this case, a flexible and systematic approach to the training of engineering personnel is needed, assuming a prompt response from the university to the current and future demands of the aircraft industry. This is impossible without direct interaction between them. An example of such interaction is the project “Internship of teachers of specialized universities in the UAC”, in which teachers were given the opportunity to immerse themselves in the production processes of aircraft construction under the guidance of leading specialists from industry enterprises and representatives of the UAC. As a result of the internship, the trainee teachers upgraded the programs of specialized disciplines selected by the internship organizers, taking into account the realities of the aviation industry, that is, including the integration of modern digital technologies, the introduction of modules on additive manufacturing and composite materials, and the strengthening of practice-oriented laboratory work using real equipment from specialized enterprises. Recommendations for their implementation in the educational process have been developed. Along with this, the joint work of teachers from different universities in the country allowed them to share their experience in educational and research activities. Based on the results of joint work, form interuniversity cooperation ties.
