Analyzed are modern foreign approaches to the analysis of the phenomenon of museums as institutions of culture, art and education. The article discusses modern approaches to assessing the role of museums in educational process, and formation of museum pedagogy trends. Also the article discusses direction of modern art education. The authors presented possible scenarios of artistic concepts of upbringing and education. Stated is, that evaluation of art in museums is one of the central tasks of museum pedagogy and fine art.
