Presented is brief review of psychological pedagogical researches in visual culture by both Russian and foreign scientists, allowing to trace basic stages of forming the named concept. Described are basic ways of cognition with using modern interactive forms. Elaborated are visual images, dominating in mass media and public consciousness, that exert essential psychological influence upon subjects of communication.
