The article reveals the political discourse of traditional values and its role in modern Russian society. The study notes that in the political discourse, the values of family and history are often mythologized and presented in an idealized form. The researchers note that such a practice can serve as a tool for consolidating society around certain ideals, but can also cause criticism for selectivity. The article emphasizes the importance of traditional values for the future of Russia. This reflects the current trend in Russian society and politics, where an emphasis on tradition, family, religion and patriotism is becoming the basis of state policy. A comparison of traditionalism and conservatism allows us to better understand how these values can be integrated into the modern context. The article presents the results of sociological studies that show the attitude of society towards traditional values. This demonstrates the extent to which these values are truly shared by society and are not simply imposed from above. The article states that traditional and religious values are changing in the context of modernization. The inevitability of this process is accompanied by a conflict between old and new values. However, it is important to understand that modernization does not necessarily mean abandoning traditions, but rather adapting them to new conditions.
