Presented is research view on the problem of using computer technologies in distant learning and also given is evaluation of the quality of this process. Modern realities of the world communication space have brought humanity to undeniable relevance of the use of computer technologies in everyday life and profession, and no less significantly in educational sphere. Integral part of education, whether it is primary, secondary or higher school, is distance learning, that is only possible through innovative programs, technologies and techniques of their transfer. Computer technologies are so firmly embedded in life of every person, that without their action it is impossible to imagine a full-fledged work, search for information, financial and trading operations, etc. Computer technologies are multi-faceted, diverse and each type has its own purpose, performs certain functions in the field of higher education and contributes to effectiveness of obtaining necessary knowledge, skills and professional activities of student. Experience and skills of working with computer technologies are even more important for teacher, i.e. tools of technology and programs become crucial, when forming a set of materials in such a way, that they are concise, attractive and accessible to students. The research is based on interaction of three subjects of university environment, in particular, “university — teacher — student” where prevailing function is assigned to discussion of forms and types of distant learning, that is a universal product of computer technologies. During online survey highlighted are advantages and disadvantages of distant learning, using the Moodle system, as well as empirically determined is effectiveness of teacher and student, that were conducted on the basis of a regional university in reference group of respondents.
