Primary socialization as forming factor of gender identity of modern personality

Examined is the problem of primary socialization through the prism of gender, and also investigated is degree of gender influence on formation of modern personality. A brief historical insight into the study of various issues of early gender social adaptation of individual is presented. The main sources of gender socialization are analyzed. In this regard, the question is being stated about effectiveness of interaction of these sources and degree of their influence on formation of primary socialization of modern personality. Special attention is paid to the fact, that parents, peers and teachers are influencing and affecting children in different ways, but development and formation of child also depends on biological factors, such as heredity and sex hormones, that affect the child’s behavior. Conclusion is made, that gender development would be described as the result of interaction between gender socialization and biological factors.
