Researched is the theme of professional education of psychiatrists. Described are existing shortages in the system of training psychiatrists. In particular, to such the author puts the lack in the program of educated phenomenological approach to making diagnosis the course of comprehensive therapy, fundamentals of psycho-pathology of K. Jaspers and R. Laing, hermeneutic method, fundamentals of communication with patient for the aim of establishing contact with him on confidential relations, as well as establishing empathic contact with patient, that would enable to implement more quality professional education of psychiatrists.

Key words: education of psychiatrists, phenomenological method, comprehensive psychiatry, hermeneutics, doctor-patient communication, empathy.
