Problem of relation of the universal and the national in history of pedagogical thought of the Russian empire 19th early 20th century

Researched is the problem of relation of the universal and the national in history of pedagogical thought of Russia in 19th up to the beginning of 20th century. Appeal to historical and pedagogical experience of solving this problem can help to find acceptable approach to construction of educational process on the basis of optimal combination of universal, civil, religious, national values of modern system of education. The purpose of the work is to analyze historical and pedagogical experience of existence of different views on the problem of relationship between the universal and the national in the system of education. Studying of historical and pedagogical experience will allow to work out valuable grounds for building modern educational system, that takes into account dialectical interconnection and interaction of national, civil-patriotic and universal components.

Key words: correlation of universal and national, public education, triad “autocracy-orthodoxy-nationality”, cosmopolitanism, public pedagogical movement, classic and real education.
