Examined is the theme of teaching Russian language in forming new type of educational environment at modern Russian higher educational institution. The author presents fragments of his own innovative concept of teaching Russian language at Russian university. Actuality of such, as to the author, is determining by changing understanding of the role and interpretation of Russian language in altering world of education. The conclusion is made, that in changing Russian educational environment because of altering of the system of the role, place and principles of functioning of Russian language as the language of education and science in both Russia and contemporary world, the process of teaching of Russian language at high school is being influenced by significant quality modification, and thus being in need of corresponding personnel providing.
