Examined is the theme of the role of professional self-assessment of students of pedagogical specialization of training as future specialists. Based on the analysis of scientific psychological pedagogical sources, in the article presented is review of researches of national and foreign scientists, dedicated to views on formation of professional self-assessment of students in the system of higher professional education. In detail, characterized is the process of formation of professional self-assessment оf students at high educational institution, according with what elaborated are main components of self-assessment. Also concrete role of student as future pedagogue in educational breeding process, aimed at formation and development of his professional self-assessment. is shown.
