Discussed are peculiarities of development of higher school of the RF in the system of global competitiveness and efficiency of it’s functioning under conditions of innovative and technological development of national economy. Special attention is paid to defining of role of high school system of the RF in the process of innovative development of social and economic environment, and also identification of a number of key factors, defining prospects of activation of scientific research works with subsequent commercialization of them in Russia. Results of the analysis allowed to formulate a number of scientifically substantiated mechanisms of organizational development of higher school with taking into account existing features of it’s influence on parameters of scientific and technological transformations in Russian economy. Special contribution of the authors into research of the theme consists in economic mathematical calculations, proving necessity of cooperation of high schools of the RF in the field of scientific research works.
