The article discusses the main directions of implementation of control and supervisory activities in the field of education. Current directions for reforming control and supervisory activities in the field of education are analyzed: the introduction of a risk-oriented approach to conducting control and supervisory activities, the introduction of new procedures for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of activities, the introduction of new types of control measures, the introduction of preventive measures as part of the implementation of the control and supervision system in field of education. A brief analysis of the results of control and supervisory activities of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science in 2023 was carried out, which reflect modern directions for improving the implementation of control and supervisory activities in the field of education. Further directions for reforming control and supervisory activities in the Russian Federation are outlined within the framework of the adoption of a whole list of normative legal acts regulating modern aspects of its reform.
