Non-formal education: adversary or ally for higher education?

Presented is theoretical interpretation and conceptualization of the meaning of “non-formal education”, analyzed are international practices of non-formal education research. Formulated are basic principles of non-formal education development, it’s social functions, and shown are it’s potential for realization of urgent needs of society and economy, qualitative improvement of human capital. Formulated are features of non-formal communicative educational platforms. Also examined are possibilities of integration of formal and non-formal education, based on example of higher school, use in educational activity of non-formal communication and educational platforms.
