This article examines the key aspects of teaching the history of the state and law of Russia to undergraduate students majoring in Jurisprudence, who are preparing for future work in state and municipal government. It explores the fundamental ideological and moral concepts and structure of the course, as well as the methodology and specifics of teaching the history of the Russian state and law. The course consists of five sections, emphasizing the evolution of the state and legal principles in the history of our country, the leading ideological and moral foundation of which was traditional Russian patriotism.
