The purpose of the article is to study the possibility of using the EduScrum method in the activities of a university teacher. The relevance of the topic of this work is due to the growing interest in new forms of project management and development on the part of both managers of modern IT companies and teachers involved in project-based learning. The article summarizes ideas about the features and advantages of the flexible development method Scrum in the context of using its provisions when teaching academic disciplines to students of information education profiles. It is shown that the introduction of flexible methods into the educational process expands the capabilities of participants in the process in terms of increasing interest in the topics being studied on the part of students, improving the quality of their assimilation of educational material, as well as the variety of forms of its presentation by teachers. A set of recommendations is proposed, including a list of topics and disciplines within which the use of EduScrum is, in the author’s opinion, the most effective; the sequence of stages of implementation of this methodology in the educational process is highlighted. The materials presented in the article can be useful both in preparing and conducting classroom lessons and classes conducted remotely, as well as during students’ educational and practical training, thereby helping to improve the teaching process in modern conditions.
