The article examines the concept of ‘prudent war’ as articulated in Sun Tzu’s treatise The Art of War, emphasizing its adaptation to the modern context of information sovereignty. The authors analyze Sun Tzu’s key strategic principles, such as preemptive planning, risk minimization, and avoidance of direct confrontation, linking them to contemporary challenges in cyberspace, economics, and international relations. Particular attention is paid to the application of these principles in the context of information wars, cyber threats, and trade conflicts. The paper provides examples illustrating the importance of ‘prudent war’ for ensuring national security and global stability. It highlights the enduring relevance of Sun Tzu’s ideas, offering strategies for strengthening information sovereignty and preventing conflicts.
