Analyzed is the problem of growing global challenge of youth extremism. It is stated, that the notion of youth extremism is not sufficiently elaborated, because of that sometimes it is difficult to define the limit, where ends immanent youth activity with some elements and signs of deviant behavior and starts criminal action from the sphere of extremist activity. Characterized is the present situation in Russia, in connection with such shown is insufficiency of the Federal Law “On countering extremist activity”, adopted in 2002 (with amendments of 2007). Also stated is, that strengthening of activity of both law protecting organs and civil society as to counter opposing to extremism in the light of growing sophistication of activities of extremists as a whole, and especially in youth midst.
