Problems of reforming the lecture system in universities

Researched are issues of reforming the lecture system in universities. Noted is the urgent need to improve the lecture system, shown are possible ways to reform it, and discussed are problems, that arise by it. Shown is, that reforming of the lecture system changes the concept of learning from “explanation — repetition — consolidation” onto “independent study — solution — verification — correction”. Also noted is shortcomings and limitations of refusal of the lecture system and arising from it problems of organization of students’ independent work. Pointed is, that when combining lectures with practical classes, problems of methodical, informative and organizational nature are arising. Examined are possible approaches to solution of emerging problems in considered ways of reforming the lecture system.
