Adaptation through frustration of personality

Presented is detailed examination of the problem of adaptation in social environment through frustration of personality. Given is the author’s interpretation of notions of “frustration” and “frustranization”, playing leading roles in the process of adaptation. Analyzed is the notion of “frustration of personality” as inseparable element of cyclical nature of the process of adaptation. Also presented is terminological substantiation of frustration, that is, in the author’s opinion, initial point of vector of adaptation of personality, which could be developing in two ambivalent directions, i.e. adaptability and stress. In connection with that formulated is adaptive strategy as the basis for interaction between personality and social environment. Elaborated are basic stages in the process of social psychological adaptation of personality in the context of external environment, as well as shown are mechanisms of the process of personal adaptation.
