Function of desirability by Harrington for measurement of professional competence

Discussed are problems of measurement of level of formation of professional competence of university graduate. Selected were stages of measuring of level of formation of professional competence of graduates. Shown are both definition and structure of professional competence of graduates with simultaneous elaboration of levels, criteria and indicators of it’s formation. Also characterized is function (scale) by Harrington for receiving integrated assessment of level of formation of professional competence of graduate with emphasizing it’s useful properties and also important advantages. Conclusion is made, that the use of proposed scale of desirability by Harrington makes possible to estimate degree of efficiency of the process of professional training, as well as opens the possibility to not limiting of quantity and quality of input parameters for assessment of professional competence.
