Theory and practice of synthesis of media criticism and media education in Finland and France

       Presented is analysis of practical realization of the problem of synthesis of media criticism and media education in the process of training of both school persons and students in Finland and France. Analyzed is state of media criticism and media education in the countries under consideration, and also determined are main directions and trends of their development. Revealed is that scientists and teachers of two leading European countries in the field of media education, i.e. France and Finland, are paying great attention to synthesis of media criticism and media education in the process of training of both school persons and students. However, along with achievements in the field of media education in France and Finland, revealed is a number of problems that hinder active introduction of media education in learning disciplines. Those include backlog of the educational process in schools from rapid development of media technology, lack of existing school media educational programs as a separate school subject, and so forth.
