Training in language of specialty of foreign students of engineering profile, reckoning with their cognitive styles

Examined is the phenomenon of analytical cognitive style of thinking, characterizing specialists of engineering profile during the process of training in Russian language as foreign one. Analyzed is history of the problem of cognitive style of thinking. Presented is survey of both foreign and national sources of information on cognitivistics. Shown are parameters of cognitivity with determination of universal and special cognitive styles. Also described is lingua cognitive portrait of foreign students of engineering profile. Substantiated are some recommendations for exposure of students with potential cognitive style of thinking during the process of educational training, and also presented are basic methods of corresponding to them technics of supervision. Also determined are task of lecturers as to orientation of foreign students of engineering profile towards cognitive style.
