Clubbing as leisure activity of youth

Analyzed is the problem of clubbing as recreational practice, allowing young people to form their own identity and self-fulfillment. Cultural and anthropological methodology opens opportunity to investigate the problem, considering young people as bearers of youth subculture of “clubbing”. The work is based on the use of last decade theoretical developments of both domestic and foreign scientists, as well as on material of English-speaking sites, dedicated to clubbers and junglists. Made is conclusion, that main orientation of sub-culture of clubbing lies in it’s creative impulse, and the sub-culture itself has a significant integrative potential. The article would be of scientific interest to specialists in the field of social work, as the social and cultural features of differentiation of young people and their behavior in the sphere of leisure directly affect formation of the structure of the whole society.
