Self-diagnostics as method of formation of conflict competence and constructive behavior in conflict situation

Presented is analysis of the phenomena of conflict competence, as well as determined are basic conditions of constructive behavior in conflict situation. Also given is definition of conflict competence, which the author interprets as personal characteristic with such distinguishing features as skills of retaining of contradictions in productive form that would be conductive to effective settlement of conflict. Shown are basic conditions and pre-conditions of formation of corresponding competences during educational process at high school. Determined are necessary levels of emotionally volitional self-regulation of students. Based on the author’s experience of lecturing in the subject of “conflictology” at high schools, the role of self-diagnostics in the process of formation of conflict competence is elaborated. Also analyzed are results of self-diagnostics at the level of constructive / destructive behavior in conflict situations by example of students’ groups during various years of educational training.
