Analysis of the alternative forms of the term assessment in the discipline “Foreign Language” in a Medical University

The article analyzes the possibility and the potential effectiveness of alternative forms of term assessment in the discipline “Foreign Language” in order to improve the level of educational and professional goal-setting, which is a component of students’ professional direction. In the course of this research, the validity of using alternative forms of term assessment was established. The indicators of the formation of foreign language communicative competence for each of its components were identified. Role plays are proposed as final events that could effectively replace the traditional form of credit in a foreign language, and a comparative analysis of the possibility of assessing the formation of foreign language communicative competence in different forms of term assessment is carried out.
