The problem of using the principles of the quality management system to create an environment in educational organizations that educates specialists of the new modern economy is considered. It is proposed to focus the educational process at the university on the formation of students’ key competence — “commitment to quality”. The ideology of quality should prevail in educational organizations, which should be “imbued” with all employees and teachers. The model of the educational process implementation is presented, in which the resources spent will give the greatest result in the form of achieving the specified requirements and goals in terms of meeting the expectations of consumers.
