Masters’ training in education management: model for individual use of information library resources

Presented is research of academic libraries as information center of higher education institutions, that serve teaching and scientific research. With the growth of library resources and the development of information services, it has become an urgent problem for librarians to make use of relevant resources to help graduate students master the skills of information retrieval, analysis, management and utilization, improve students’ information literacy and enhance their independent learning ability. This study attempts to research didactic possibilities of librarians to improve the skills of using information resources of graduate students majored in education management through providing individualized information support and educational service in extracurricular time. The features of the organization of extracurricular individualized learning for masters in the direction "education management" were summarized, and the individualized information services of libraries were analyzed. A model for individual use of information library resources for masters training in education management was built, which contains structural and functional components. It combines the intelligent individualized service of digital library with the individualized service of librarians, effectively guarantees students' information need, and gives full play to the educational functions of librarians, which carries out information literacy education from multiple perspectives and ways.
