Discussed is permanent state of crisis in the system of professional education in connection with development of science, technology and changing requirements of society. The authors critically examine transformations in the system of higher education, conducted in the course of reformation of Russian society. Directions of correction of unreasonable decisions for carrying out full-scale modernization of the system of receiving professional education are being offered.
