On change in priorities of principal tasks in education

Discussed are goals and tasks of education. It is shown, that with development of technology and society, the main tasks change. The aim of the work was to analyze the current state of the problem and identify trends in changing priorities of the main tasks in higher professional education. The paper analyzes the main tasks, currently being solved in educational process. Their inconsistency with changing conditions of technological development is noted, since classical process of transmitting samples, knowledge, and skills is only effective in relatively stable world. Emerging need for changing priorities of the main tasks of education is shown. It is suggested and substantiated, that in short term the most priority task is to teach thinking (systemic, multivariate and multi-step thinking, figurative and critical thinking). It is assumed, that another important task will be teaching skills of knowledge search, abilities to get and structure information, distinguish between reliable information and false information. In addition, formation of competencies, ensuring continuity of education and developing teamwork skills will remain the priorities. Some directions for implementation of considered tasks and practical recommendations are proposed.
