Control as a tool of development of student’s personality of non-linguistic profile on the basis of modular training

Substantiated is necessity of providing arguments in favor of transforming present-day assessment activity tools in compliance with current social demand, reflected in the goal of foreign language teaching. Within the framework of pro-ductive education theory, assessment activity has every opportunity and, thus, is expected to become a factor of learning individual’s development, conductive for evolving from pedagogic guidance to learning individual’s self-assessment and collective guidance of the learning process. The conclusion is supported by an example of modular training, implemented in teaching foreign language to post-graduate students of non-language profile at Siberian Federal University.
