Creation of digital stories as means of formation of communicative competence of students

Presented is so called technique of training in English of digital storytelling on the basis of creating of digital stories, and also shown are it’s features and advantages. The author describes the work with this technique step by step, underlines, that it fosters improving of students’ academic performance and motivation of students to learn foreign language, better assimilation of material, raising of computer literacy and development of self-confidence, as well as organization of interaction between students, reducing stress levels, complex formation of skills of reading, writing, auditoria listening and speaking skills. In that process the lecturer plays the role of coauthorfacilitator, assistant, while student has decisive word.
