Analyzed is the problem of influence of various context factors on results of education of school children. Questionnaires accompanying performance of regional test work on Russian language and mathematics by ninth-graders of St. Petersburg are presented. Analyzed are results of survey. Peculiarities of students’ attitude to subjects, difficulties of their mastering, intensity of school and supplementary activities are revealed. Obtained data confirm the mostly extracurricular nature of mastering the subject “Russian language”. In ensuring high results in mathematics, the role of school today is, on average, also insufficient. The research confirms the fact, that to obtain result in mathematics the most important is systematic intensive learning the subject, that today is more often provided by paid tutors than by school lessons.
Key words: social and pedagogical context of teaching Russian and mathematics, questionnaire of school persons, correlation analysis.
