Shown is significance of the system of general education as important instrument for adaptation and socialization of migrant children in the RF. Analyzed is experience of government of the Moscow city in the process of adaptation of children from foreign families in educational environment on the base on reckoning of individual characteristics of child, thorough study of his tendencies and interests in their dynamics, as well as close interaction of family and school in adaptation activities. Also revealed are problems in teaching and socialization of infones in peripheral regions of the country on example of schools of the Far East, incl. language barrier, ethnic stereotypes and lack of teaching tools and skills of most teachers, working at schools. Examined are existing approaches to sociocultural adaptation of foreign teenagers in the USA. Shown is the role of state in the process of socialization of migrant children, living in the territory of North America.
