Analyzed is the problem of formation of social and cultural potential of personality of military serviceman, taking into account preservation of continuity of rich national educational heritage. Military education of pre-revolutionary Russia, as integral educational system of training and breeding of officer as national patriot-citizen of the Fatherland, presented itself as the source for continuity of constructive elements of social and cultural potential of moral components of military man. The authors made the conclusion about that formation of social cultural potential of personality of military men are developing under continuity of historical traditions, presupposing breeding of harmonious personality. Such is personality, demonstrated itself as possessing qualities of global thinking with both developed inter-cultural and language competences, and also readiness and potential to interconnection with persons with different social strata and cultural communities/
