Presented is critical analysis of the most voluminous textbook in history for higher educational institutions “History of Russia from ancient times up to present days”, published by leading national researchers. The author shows pluses and minuses of the named publication, in detail analyses it’s content, pays intent attention to it’s mistakes and shortages. The author’s conclusion is made about how these mistakes and shortages could be evaded, in order that this fundamental publication conforms in full to it’s scientific educational destination.
