Presented are some results of the author’s empirical research as to economic activity of women. Described are both diffusion among Russian women of basic and supplementary education, and of it’s inter-connection with economic activity. Education is one of key factors determining both strategy and characteristics of economic activity of women of all types (labor, consumption, fiscal, saving, financial, monetary, et al.), the research says. Conclusion is made about straight proportional dependence of economic activity of women from obtained education. As the author emphasizes, the analysis demonstrates the potential of education, firstly, for activization of economic behavior, and secondly for bettering of material state of women. Also presented are the author’s recommendations for development of economic activity of women.
