The paper presents new approaches to teaching «Isomorphism. Solid solutions» university course, that is a special subject in educational curriculum of Chemistry Faculty in Lobachevsky State University in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. Key elements of the course are described, and set of active methods are presented, as well as changes in results of training shown.
Key words: active methods in teaching, special discipline «Isomorphism. Solid solutions», development of competencies, authentic evaluation.
