One of the priority directions of the development of higher education is the formation of a stable relationship between education and production, ensuring the connection of students’ education with the enterprises where they will work. It is this collaboration with employers that will significantly modernize the educational process, formulate and bring to the student the competencies, professional skills and requirements of employers to specialists. Integration with production contributes to the training of specialists in the field of telecommunications who have a good level of fundamental and special education and are capable of mastering new, promising technological processes. The article provides a methodology for conducting laboratory practical training in real production conditions at the Khabarovsk Directorate of Communications of the Central Communications Station, a branch of Russian Railways. The organization of laboratory and practical classes in special disciplines of the telecommunications direction of the department “Automation, telemechanics and Communications” is being considered. The organizational, didactic and educational requirements for the organization and conduct of practical training in the workplace are given. The regulation of educational activities of students, teachers and experts during laboratory and practical training in real production conditions is justified. In the course of the research, a review and generalization of the content of scientific sources related to the discussed problems were used; data collection and processing for FESTU .
