Presented analysis of the teacher’s training process in Japan. Clarified the features of education courses and training for improving the qualifications of mid-career teachers. Examined papers and focused on basic knowledges and skills during the process of drafting for creating criteria that enable teacher assessment. Suggested to take into account some points of Russian Teacher’s Standard.
