Phenomena of public consciousness of provincial students

Analyzed are features of political consciousness of provincial students, their individual elements, that influence on adequacy of political socialization of young people, living in socio-cultural space of Russian province. The basis of the article was sociological study, conducted by the authors among students of two universities in Kostroma in the autumn of 2018. Based on the results of the research, conclusions are drawn about perception of political situation in Russia, trust in political institutions, and readiness to express political protest. Special place in the study is given to the analysis of protest moods of young people.
