Problem and perspectives of internationalization of higher education

Analyzed are conceptual bases of the process of internationalization of higher education within the globalization context. Described are problems, arising in development of this process, and also defined are possible perspectives of internationalization of higher education. Substantiated is the standpoint, that the level of internationalization defines the degree of competitiveness of higher education establishment, and is one of main driving forces behind the process of it’s modernization. Also discussing are key issues of impact of internationalization on academic activity of universities. Noted are key problems of perspectives of internationalization under conditions of formation of “global” knowledge society.
