Examined are principal trends in development of modern professional education. Actualized is the problem of continuous education at technical university as multi-leveled educational complex. Special attention is paid to description of elaborated by the authors’ concept as one of conditions for successful solution of strategic tasks of continuous education at technical university. The concept reflects modern view on development of definitions, strategic objectives, basic principles and key activities in continuous education of technical university. The main ones are: organizational and administrative, professional and pedagogical, educational, instructional, organizational and methodical, scientific-research. The authors make conclusion that quality of vocational training for innovative development of region’s economy depends on accuracy of the setting of strategic objectives that define activities of modern technical university.
