Utopianism of More: truth and fiction

          Presented is interpretation of socio-political teaching of English thinker T. More. The aim of the article is to pay attention on polyphony and principal openness of his socio-political teaching, without reckoning of which the philosophical portrait of the thinker might be distorted. The article analyzes political system, economic structure, social relations and outlooks of citizens of ideal state. Attention is fixed on More’s idea about necessity of complex modernization of basic spheres of social life. Made is the author’s conclusion, that socio-political thought of More couldn’t be exhausted by utopian component, but is including strong realistic component. The named circumstance makes the teaching of English thinker free from one-sided dogmatism, being steady concomitant as to similar thinking constructions of another prominent classics of the named genre.
