Self-actualization as the principal motif for progress of a future specialist

The article considers the problem of formation of a specialist’s intellectual and emotional potential as the synergy of self-actualization process. From the perspective of training in high school and teaching experience, it highlights types of behavior leading to self-actualization; emphasizes the symbiosis of intellectual and emotional intelligence as a measure of future career for young professionals; and the problem of emotional intelligence formation is considered in the context of teaching foreign language.
