Linguistic premises for conservation of commanding positions of Russian language in the post-Soviet territorial space

Examined is the problem of Russian language functioning in situation of Russian and non-Russian bilingualism, formed by interaction of Russian and other languages in the post-Soviet territory. Bilingualism in former Soviet territory suffered considerable changes in two latter decades. However, Russian as language of international and business cooperation remains instrument of communication for ethnically non-Russians in the post-Soviet territory.
