Analysis of definitions of key terms in the chapter of “Characteristics of professional activity” of FSES of all levels of professional education is presented. Shown is that in the system of FSES there is a lack of conjunction between enumerations and definitions of conceptual terminology apparatus in the sphere of meaning of “professional activity” as to standards of various levels of education and professional educational standards. Unified specification of terms and their definitions are also presented.

Key words: level of education, educational standard, conceptual terminology apparatus, sphere of activity, activity object, type of activity, labor function, professional standard.
