This paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of local regulations at four leading Russian universities on the use of artificial intelligence in education: the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University, the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and Moscow City Pedagogical University. The authors analyzed key trends and the permissibility of using artificial intelligence in various contexts. Particular attention is paid to the limits of human participation in the development and application of technologies, as well as the need to adhere to the principles of academic integrity. Faculty, as key stakeholders in this process, play a vital role in formulating rules and regulations for the use of artificial intelligence, which helps adapt educational programs to the current challenges of the modern world. This study emphasizes the importance of local regulations as a foundation for the safe and effective implementation of artificial intelligence at universities, fostering the development of an innovative educational environment.
