In the 21st century the importance of the sustainable trend of increasing the role of science in all spheres of public life, including higher education, has reinforced. A scientific approach in higher education is needed not only because science is developing and has effective practical applications in all types of public activity. The true cognitive value of science is revealed in its unique ability to establish reliable proof. Historical experience has shown the amazing ability of science to discover the laws and properties of the surrounding world. European universities have long given preference to the study the works of authoritative authors. The situation changed radically in the modern era. Modern European science criticized medieval scholasticism and made the transition to a methodology that justified the priority of direct observations and natural experiments. Scientific proof firmly established in the educational programs of European universities. The purpose of the article is to describe and explain the nature of the relationship between scientific proof and educational programs of modern higher education. In essence, the problem of philosophical and pedagogical understanding of the importance of scientific proof for modern educational activities of universities remains clearly insufficiently studied, but as the role of science increases, this problem requires a comprehensive study. There is no doubt about the actuality of the topic of the article.
