The image of K.E. Tsiolkovsky, a scientist and inventor in the field of aerodynamics, the theory of airplanes and airships, the founder of modern cosmonautics, a teacher and a humanist philosopher, is recreated. It is shown that the more significant a person is to humanity, the wider the scope of his activity, the greater the influence of this personality on the world in which he lives. The personality is improving, the world is changing. A modest provincial teacher enriched the philosophical and methodological foundations of science, setting the vector for further technical development.
